Friday Fun Song: "Take the 'A' Train" - Phyllis Hyman and Hinton Battle

"Take the 'A' Train" by Duke Ellington is one of my all-time favorite songs, and Phyllis Hyman and Hinton Battle do a fantastic job of singing it (from the musical, Sophisticated Ladies, a revue based on Ellington's music). 

I'd heard Hinton Battle before, but I hadn't even heard of Phyllis Hyman until my recent fascination with album of Sophisticated Ladies.  I love her voice.  She was nominated for a Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her performance.  The musical was also nominated for Best Musical, Gregory Hines was nominated for Best Actor, and Hinton Battle won for Best Featured Actor.
