Friday Spring Wanderings with Lots of Flowers: Part 1, Ayr Mont

Friday morning, older son and I went to Ayr Mont again.  It was just the two of us, and we like to linger so it took the better part of the morning (and lots of photos).  Older son's photos are labeled "OS."

Woodchuck

The rock we like to sit on isn't underwater anymore.  We lingered a long time (view above), and dipped our feet in the water.  It's still chilly.

While we were there, we watched this woodchuck trundle around on the opposite bank.  He would reach up to small saplings, pull them down, and eat their leaves.  Eventually, he went in his hole (you can see it at the bottom). (OS)

OK. I'll come clean. I live less than a few miles from you and I've never been to Ayr Mont. I don't even know where it is! :-)

I sorta think it's a made up place that only you and your family know about...

Or maybe I just created the whole thing in Photoshop!

Seriously, it's on St. Mary's Road between St. Matthew's and the 70 bypass. You all have to go there! (Maybe we can all go together when you get back?)
