"A Mhaithrin, A'Leigfea 'Un and Aonaigh Me?"

I decided to add the category, "Mental Soundtrack" today.  I often have music playing in my head; in fact, it's rare for that not to be the case.  One of the things on today's soundtrack (along with various pieces of "Sunday in the Park with George" which we watched one more time today before sending it back to Netflix) is a song by Cathy Ryan.  She was on the The Thistle & Shamrock a few weeks ago.  I didn't have a chance to listen that day, but taped the show, and I've been gradually listening to it ever since.  The song is, "A Mhaithrin, A'Leigfea 'Un and Aonaigh Me? (Mother, Will You Let Me Go To)," which doesn't sound like a catchy title, but the song is very catchy.  It's from her CD, "The Music of What Happens."  She used to be the lead singer for Cherish the Ladies.
