Thirty days of blogging every day (NaBloPoMo) - November, like the rest of this year, has flown by. Last week, I was regretting doing NaBloPoMo, but I always end up being glad I did so by the end of the month. I'd like to keep blogging every day in December, but I know that's not going to happen.
I'm trying to get all my Christmas shopping done before daughter gets home from college and older son is done with exams. In fact, I'm trying to get done at least two days before that so I have a day or so to calm down. Last year, I did my usual try-to-homeschool-and-do-everything-normally-through-the-first-half-of-December, and I ended up in the hectic, rushing around part when older son was done with exams.
Not good planning.
I'm saving all the fun Christmas stuff - decorating, baking pulla, baking cookies, etc. - for when they're here.
Yesterday, I planted the last of the pansies then I rinsed off the trowel, detached the hose, and put away the Osmocote. This marked the end of the gardening season because today I was beginning the Chritmas shopping...
...except that, this afternoon, I found a yellow Shasta Daisy at the Duke Gardens Terrace shop - 20% off!
I'll have to get the trowel back out tomorrow. :)
22 by Lily Allen
Dear husband and I were listening to 22 by Lily Allen when we were driving around this evening. Dear husband said that I like it because of the piano. He's partially right - I also like the melody, but I hadn't really payed much attention to the words until I looked them up this evening before putting the song on the blog. 22 is from her second album, It's Not Me, It's You.
