Stop blogging or get opinionated... stop blogging or get opinionated. I was trying to figure that out last week. I was seriously tending towards stopping, but then the sun came out for an hour this afternoon. This has been one of the gloomiest falls that I can remember, and everyone's mood is suffering from that - except for older son's. Even younger son (10 yo) complains about the gloomy days.
However, the alternative to stopping, for me, is to get opinionated. As I mentioned before we went on vacation, I've been self-censoring (out of politeness, but still..) more and more in my writing. I end up not writing what I want to and having very little that is "okay to write" that I feel like actually writing.
If I get bored, the blog is gone. I have great affection for my blog so I'm engaging the alternative. In other words, if you get easily offended, if you don't like having your sacred cows tickled (or kicked), I'll see you in December. For NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month), I'm writing one opinionated post every day. These opinions won't always be negative (a Fosse one is in the works), but they'll be more opinionated than anything I've posted in a while. I'm also not going to always obsessively back up my opinions with paragraphs of research, reasoning, and explanations like I often try to. Sometimes, they'll just be opinions.
