Friday Fun Song: "Rock and Roll Heaven's Gate" - Indigo Girls, and a Friday 10

When I ignored my knee and drove to Duke Gardens last week, I listened to Rock and Roll Heaven's Gate over and over and sang along with it (Okay, I sang the backup part for the choruses).  I love this song, but I'm not so crazy about the animated part of the video, which gets a bit preachy in the second half.

Pink sings backup for the chorus the last time around, and she's got a brief animated appearance at 2:50.

I try to be careful with what I listen to around the kids when they're younger, which means that there are a number of Pink songs that I skip when younger son is around.  I was listening to a tape with this song on it once when younger son was in the van.  I wasn't thinking about it and forgot to fast forward over it.  Younger son's voice drifted up from the back - "I'm not supposed to listen to these songs."  "I was wondering!" added 17 yo daughter.  I fast forwarded.
