My Week
I've been taking some time off from my part-time job (the non-aerobic one). Last month and the first part of this month, with two trips, the dance recital, and other things, I wouldn't have as much time to focus. During the 6 week break, I was going to have two weeks that, except for unpacking and getting the house back in order, weren't as busy. They might even have had some time for relaxing!
All you mothers out there know what happened. Let's all say it together. SOMEONE GOT SICK!
In mid-May, all three kids got sick for the better part of the first calm week. This week, it's my turn. I've got a nasty, upper-respiratory virus which attacked my voice first, and th
en my lungs. So, I can't talk much, and breathing's not very easy either. Teaching aerobics, long walks, and swimming leave me worn out. But, now dear husband is home from SC so I can write again (I just didn't feel like it before).
I was so cranky last night and this morning about being sick. My usual method of dealing with bad moods is to clean - this mood was quite useful. I got the bedroom cleaned up, and I even cleaned my desk and the library table. Before I cleaned it, you couldn't see any of the horizontal surfaces. But, still being sick, afterwards, I slept for two hours (and, in hindsight, stirring up all that dust wasn't a good idea!).
I realized, after I was done, that having my weekly calendar right in front of the keyboard was making the time I spend there less relaxing. Instead I moved the calendar over and replaced it with the three small animals (below). It's much more peaceful that way.
That crud seems to be making the rounds all over the country! Sorry you're feeling sick. I wish I cleaned when I was in a bad mood. ;-)
Love the little animals!

Little animals?! You're not fooling me! We just saw napping hippos at the aquarium in Camden, NJ, so I know that brown guy in the middle is about the size of a car. And he's surrounded by enormous rabbits! Given the size of hippos, that rabbit on the left is about the size of a two car garage! Where did you get such large rabbits - and how did they get on your desk? Hey, wait a minute. That means your desk must be about the size of Delaware... I have a headache.
